The first step in joining the choir/band is to come to a Thursday night rehearsal. We rehearse every Thursday night from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm for band members and 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm for choir members. There will be someone there to greet you and show you where to pick up the music for rehearsal. After rehearsal, new members will meet with Pastor Trey for a brief interview/audition. The purpose of the interview/audition is for Pastor Trey to meet you, go over choir/band guidelines, and to hear your playing ability or vocal range. This is not meant to intimidate; he will play or sing with you if you’d like! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at 985-384-3998. Expectations
The choir/band member will constantly remember that as a choir/band member, they are assisting the worship leader in leading the people in worship. Be an example! Remember that you bring joy, faith, excitement about the Lord, your personal testimony, encouragement, and so much more to the “table” in ministering with the worship team! The choir/band member must be committed to unity with the ministry team! Unity is essential for effective ministry, but it doesn’t happen accidentally. It takes work and effort to be unified! God commands us to be united.
